English grown flowers are becoming increasingly popular as people learn more about the world’s flower production, and how many 1000’s of miles there are between the growing field and your purchase.
Flowers are flown from as far afield as Kenya and Columbia, with environmental consequences.
English grown flowers generally are more delicate, more natural for our surroundings, and are in tune with the seasons. They also have scent ! There is nothing better than the smell of freshly picked flowers and foliage on a summers morning.
We have about 1.5 acres of flower production on the farm , with the intention of being able to provide English garden flowers between June and October . Most of our flowers are grown outside, which means that they are not forced. This makes for strong stems and flowers that last a good length of time in the vase.
Our market is the surrounding area, and we are happy for people to come and pick up flowers by arrangement.
We also sell in south Molton pannier market on a Thursday morning between June and October.
We sell buckets of loose flowers direct to you if you want to decorate your own venue for your party or wedding.
We are also happy to support you making your own bouquets and buttonholes in our garden studio (see wedding flower page)
We have a large variety of perennial shrubs including roses and hydrangeas, as well as over 100 annuals that we grow each year.
We try to have flowers across the whole colour palette for as many weeks as possible during the season.
Our flowers are picked in the early morning, and stored in our purpose built cool room where they are conditioned over night ready for collection/delivery.
If you have any questions or enquiries please do not hesitate get in touch!
Many many thanks.
